Selection Trials

Since 1999, CellFor Inc and Forest Genetics CellFor Ltd have been working with various forest growers to test varieties on their land. Over 40 field trials are currently underway in New Zealand and over 30 in Australia. Extensive data has been collected on these trials, managed using GEM (a state-of-the art genetic database), and analysed to evaluate performance of the FGC varieties.  

Results of these field trials have provided the necessary proof that the cloning technologies are working as a very practical tool, and this has enabled us to select our first 25 superior varieties for commercial production and sale.
